Creation of custom digital preservation policy and procedure suite, including digital and or hybrid accessions framework, retention schedules and/or digital preservation workflow documentation.
Full Approach
Results from 3 previous steps will be combined into a digital context report showing the current situation. includes options paper detailing future options, pros, cons costs and recommendations.
Implementation
Collaboration
We will project manage your install, liaising with your chosen service provider to ensure a smooth install . We will also work with IT to make sure the system will be fully supported going forward
System Testing
We will fully test your chosen system on your network using dummy data to make sure everything is working smoothly before you start processing your precious collections.
Custom Open-Source
We will create and implement a custom open-source workflow, which works fully within your organisations IT context. All software used will have user interfaces and produce reports
Training and Documentation
Full training and documentation provided for all open-source workflows implemented. Includes workflow diagrams and step by step instructions. Training videos are also available.
Business as usual
Fixity Check Subscription
Regular fixity checking, software upgrades and error resolving on a regular schedule to suit you. Storage for collections ( or copies) up to 50TB also available. Makes sure your files are always accessible.
Digital / Hybrid Accessioning
Processing and ingest of digital collections to suit your accessions framework. Work on your backlogs and make sure you know what your collections consist of.
Digital/ Hybrid Cataloguing
We can carry out cataloguing projects to reduce backlogs or make a particular collection more accessible. All cataloguing completed to ISAD(G) standards or your own in house framework.
